I have an extra compaq presario with a 133 mhz processor and 64 megs of ram laying around. i would like to use it as a really low end learning/testing server, preferably with a trial issue of server 03. in what way could i get around the minimal requirements to install the server os?
Frank
You can't. Not only that it would be a waste of time and you would end up throwing it out of the window.

ok, i know that this is a windows server board, but is there a linux os that could also work on this system?

Almost any x86 distro.

Here is a tutorial that a friend of mine wrote. This is the second part, and the first part can be found on the main page under computers or websites, can't remember.

Dont even think of Win03, NT would do the job with more RAM, and you could install linux and run it in text mode ( no X ) if you dont want it to be slow
