Alright, I gunna switch from Nextel to T-Mobile. I found a phone that I want, the Samsung E630, that isn't offered by T-Mobile. I emailed them asking if I could use the phone on their network. They said that I could use the phone on their network as long as it was gsm unlocked 1900, I'm sure it's gsm 1900 but is it unlocked? Are these phones unlocked and do these sites look legit?

Then they said once it meets these requirements, you may transfer a T-Mobile SIM into it to activate the phone. Is this something I can do easily myself? And is it possible to keep my old number? Or do I have to send them the E630 and they do it? Or just visit a retail T-Mobile store when I get the phone?
