I bought a 12" iBook G4 to replace my G3 800 just before Xmas. The iBook line was only updated in October, so I doubt there will be any updates next week in San Fran. Also, Amazon have a $100 rebate on the 12" so you can pick one up for $899 after rebate. Throw in a cheap 256 of 512mb SoDimm and you have a kick-ass laptop that will last you for a good while. I love mine...

Wait for tiger.... they will do some price adjustment at that point and you wont have to pay to upgrade the OS

To be honest I don't think Apple will be introducing any iBook updates, however its always good to know when the Tiger OS will be released, so you can buy it within a month of the release date.

I just bought an iBook not too long ago also and I love it. How much will Tiger be?

In MacWorld Expo, iWork 05 will be introduced...

Since Tiger release date is sometime in March,

I assumed...lol...

Oh, and when I said iWork 05 will be included,

I meant it will be included with iBook or PowerBook with Tiger...hopefully... ninja.gif

I ordered my new iBook G4 12" on NYD, and it was shipped today! biggrin.gif

I decided to get it while I actually had the cash, rather than waiting. Will ebay my panther disks before tiger comes out, that way giving me the money (I get student discount) to buy Tiger smile.gif

I severly doubt (hope) that there is no updates to the iBook line, although the rumoured updates to the 12" PB are interesting; 1.5Ghz in a 12" form factor!

Dougal.

Wait for the Tiger baby! biggrin.gif

With discount, Panther is $69 on Apple.com....so I would assume Tiger will be. I can't wait to order it.
