Well my friend asked me to put some songs on his mp3 player (one of those cheap 128mb ones) because he didnt know how. Ok so i go home plug it on put the songs on... Then i go to test them and they sound horrible! Like static and everything. Then i try the same songs on my muvo 2 and they're fine. Is it because of the mp3 player? Or ....im pretty sure its the mp3 player but there were some test songs on it before and those sounded fine any ideas?

So what's the manufacturer and model of this player?

Me firend has one of those Lyra 128 meg players and everything works just fine. I reflashed it with latest firmware for him - he can even play DRM'ed WMAs now from MSN music store.

How do you poload songs there?? Using sync tool in WMP??

What bitrate songs that were playing fine were encoded with? And that bitrate are the songs you're trying to upload. If it's cheap, songs you're trying to upload may have bitrate that's not compatiable with a player - hence crappy sound...

Yup I'm pretty sure that's the reason.

it could be how they were encoded, with lame or another codec other then fhg, also it may not support high bitrates or vbr files

do all files give you a problem or just some? if so what is the bitrate and encoder?
