Your joking right? Today was my first day at school since the holidays and I'm guessing 25% of my school got an iPod or iPod mini for christmas. Yes there are other and better players but no body wants them. People want iPods because they are a fashion statment.

I have the 15gb 1st gen dj, although often overlooked it is a worthy competitor in the mp3 market smile.gif

Fashion statement, same as Macs - but take a look at macs market share. Same will eventually happen to iPod - market will shrink. Every item goes out of fashion... just give it a time...

Well do you even use or listen to music 9 hours straight? I guess not. I don't think it would matter so much if the battery life was around 8 and above because I know nobody except music addicts listen to music 8 or more hours straight. Just pop the battery adaptor when you're going to sleep. cool.gif

tbh, when i'm on the other side of the world or somewhere on vacation, i could honestly use more than 8 hours of battery life...i think my gigabeat has about that much...walking out for more than 8 or 9 hours can happen easily when you're on vacation somewhere and i'm really fond of my music, almost have it on whenever i'm out, but take it off when i'm with people lol. it gets boring by yourself hahah rofl.gif
