SPeedY_B has an iSight, and from a personal point of view (but not actually owning one) they look amazing and are very good quality. smile.gif

yeah I have this bad habit of buying stuff I don't really need.

Get another webcam instead, you'd probably be better off with some Logitech webcam for less moneyh I'd assume.

BTW, I think I saw an iSight hooked up to some PowerBook at Fry's awhile back, I think, and it had a blurry video quality. Maybe it was just badly focused or it was a bad unit. Or the iSight in general just sucks... rolleyes.gif

I don't have an iSight though so I wouldn't know! shocking.gif

But then again, I don't even have a Mac (at this point).... whistle.gif

I've used an iSight at work and I've found that the picture quality to be quite good, better than most webcams that I've seen.

If you just want some webcam to play with it, you might be better off with a cheap Logitech one. However, with the right software, you can do some cool things with the iSight besides just video chat (like using it to record video).

I have an iSight as Sean mentioned above, the quality surpasses all other web-cam's that I've used, but dependant on your personal web-cam usage, the iSight may not be for you. Personally I use my cam a lot (I own a web-cam site biggrin.gif) therefore it was a worthwhile purchase for me, I also use the in-built mic over skype, and will hopefully use the cam with it once support for that is added.

If you're rarely going to use your cam though, a logitech or similar will suffice just fine and save you a heap of money smile.gif
