Does the Creative Zen Portable Media Center have a laptop Hard drive that has a IDE interface?

I'd go for the iriver. Sure it lacks MCE, which is a nice way to work with files, but the iRiver supports more formats, I believe.

I would go for iRiver, because it looks much cooler. tongue.gif

And you can choose between regular PMP or PMC.

Yes, the MCE cant play mpeg4, it plays all the standard microsoft formats, ie if you load a divx into WMP10 to sync to the device it will encode it into a format that it can play.

I dont like the whole WMP10 encoding thing + the iRiver has 40GB biggrin.gif I'm still wondering how I'm meant to get the files from my PC to the iRiver hope it's simple Windows Explorer drag and drop rather then some software

If it's like every other single iriver product, simple drag and drop.

cool... I check the specs and it supports Xvid will it be able to decode DiVX videos as well or is that diffrent?

yes it will support divx, they are both mpeg4 codecs and XviD can decode DivX streams.
