After recent news and past news about an iPod version going flash based, i've thought about some other way they could have done it, this is just my naive thoughts, i don't know if it can be technically achievable, but wondering what your thoughts are to it.
Since Apple envisioned and so did iPod owners, flash-drive capabilities on the iPod, they decided to make another version of iPod, which is 1gb - 2gb in size, that supports flash-drive technology. However i anticipated they were going to in some way make the HDD version iPods flash based.
Now my thoughts were, why didn't they attach a flash-drive memory component into the HDD version of the iPod, and when people connect it up to a USB, they can store small contents on flash component, and if desired, they can adjust settings so that the contents are shadowed-copied into the HDD, or can be requested to be copied over to the HDD.
Wouldn't this work?
Just my thoughts.
