i am looking to convert a scene from a dvd and convert it into mp4 so i can put it on my mobile phone. i was wondering is this possilble? and if so some names of software that can do this. Cheers for anyhelp.

but the clip is only like 12 seconds long.
all i want is to cut a scene and convert that, not the whole film.

Check out www.doom9.org this is seen as the one-stop resource for ripping DVDs to anything. Essentially you need to use a program such as DVD Decrypter, to rip the DVD. Then another app to convert to MPEG 4. You might need to convert to AVI first, I'm not too sure.

you could also try ULEAD DVD studio pro with it you can capture directly from a DVD the cut the clip and render it as Mpeg4 no prob
