Steve
Currently, i have to take alot of work, to and from work and home - alot of which are large image files. I've been getting by using my USB dongle for now, and it's been fine, however sometimes i mislay it, and it messes things up. It's small, it's easy to lose - whereas my iPod photo, i always know where it's at. I carry that everywhere with me.. Anyhow, recently we upgraded our machines to Windows XP, also, which is kinda nice (Coming from '98). Now i am curious, can i use my iPod as removable USB drive in XP, without requiring iTunes? I don't think they'd appreciate me installing iTunes on the systems, just for this. I thought maybe the iPod might just appear as a removable volume in My computer, like USB dongles do. What happens here, can anyone tell me if this is true? If not, please enlighten me on what i need to enable this?!

Cheers

Yes... easiest way is to force disk mode on the iPod before connecting the unit, just to be safe, (for iTunes equipped computers it doesnt matter) http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93651 thats the link

Enjoy!!
