Well assuming that Apple has been very closed-mouthed about Tiger's release date ( rolleyes.gif ) I don't know what to wait for now before purchasing an iBook. I'd like to get it obviously with iLife '05 on it. But I dunno if I should wait another few months ( pinch.gif !!! ) and buy it w/ Tiger or buy it sooner than that with Panther and hope for an Up-to-Date program for Tiger to include January/February-purchased Macs in it? Arghhhhhhhhh sorry folks but I'm itching to get my hands on my first Mac. smile.gif And I can't wait to get a laptop like the iBook. So folks: Got any advice?! wacko.gif

I do have the new iBook BUT if I were in the same situation as you I would defiantly wait.

I'm going to buy a mini now and an iBook a few months down the road. Solve both of my wants at different times.

Don't want the Mac mini, I'd like an iBook. smile.gif

Definately Wait.

just buy it, the cost of tiger will be much less than the pain of waiting, plus once you have the ibook you wont even notice the missing cash when you buy tiger

Wait till what? If I could get an iBook earlier but pay $20 more for Up-To-Date to Tiger, then I don't see why not...?

Wait for it.....Jobs already said Tiger will be out the 1stQ of 2005...so waiting a few month won't hurt....

No offense I always hate it when people say wait, why wait????
In life things always get better, fact of life, Tiger yes it is coming out but I would most realsiticly be looking at about may, in fact rather then March for Tiger.

Also if you get your ibook, you can be enjoying your first mac for at least several months, then upgrade to tiger. There is nothing like getting your fist mac, and opening it up to enjoy the wonder of mac's.

Panther is a solid os as it is and works well.
