No matter what I do I always get the iPod do not disconnect dispay on the screen. No matter if I plug it in firewire or USB for any period of time it always says do not disconnect. Any ideas, suggestions. Has anyone ran into this before?
are you saying that you can never disconnect it properly when it's plugged in via firewire or usb?
Huh? It always says Do Not Disconnect when you plug it in. You must Eject it for the message to go away.

I switched my iTunes management to Manual update, and when I had my pod connected, that message was always displayed. I just clicked the Eject button where the playlists are and it said it was ok to disconnect.
Well if I had it in USB before and even if i wanted to charge it through USB instead of using the wall adapter, it used to say that the iPod was charged. Now it doesnt tell me it is charged fully, only time i see that is if i plug it in the wall
