How can anyone possibly have an educated opinion on this. You have not tried every manufacturer, so therefore you can't have a valid opinion.

so.. if you have to try every single thing before you can give a 'valid opinion', he wants to know what we THINK. not as in analyization.

{Favourite Manufacturer?, We all knew this was coming}
It's like life as Forrest Gumps mother said, 'Life is like a box of chocolates, you don't know which one to try next.
So from this, you may like hard centres, soft centres, alcohol based centres, plain, or milk or even ones with nuts in, you make a choice after trying them all out.
So therefore unless you try them all you cannot base your opinion on one or two.

BMW, Audi, Volvo and Mercedes.
And where the hell is Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover, Maserati, TVR, etc. NOT A VERY COMPREHENSIVE LIST!
I voted other anyway... Aston is my fave by far.

Ford! My parents has a phathom-coloured (purple) Falcon XR6. Very damn comfortable and expensive.
I, myself, own a 1988 Mitsubishi Magna. It's an old car but does the job.

Nah if I were to choose a username based on a Mercedes Benz vehicle it would sound lame...let's say if my username is SLK320 or even CLK-DTM...I don't think it's appropriate. That's why I chose one username that will be remembered well around Neowin community

I was laughin my head off while reading the replies to this thread. At first I was sad that my carmaker wasn't on the list, so I voted Other just to see what everyone voted for, and behold: I found I was in the same boat as the rest of you.
Just a kind suggestion, Make a Poll, Make more than one Polls; but provide choices which resemble the majority. 36% at the time of writing, was the count for Other, spread throughout 10choices, that's the majority, so perhaps all you gotta do is edit a couple of your choices to be in the sphere.
If I were gonna do a Poll like this, my choices would be: BMW, DaimlerChrysler/Mercedes, Chevy, Toyota, Honda/Acura, Dodge, Ford, Mitsubishi, Nissan/Infiniti, GM, Other, and the rest could be a free for all. These choices would do it for me, because those are the majority of the automobiles I see everyday. Remake this thread, and perhaps we'll get a STICKY!!!
EDIT: I own Nissan ->> I like Nissan.
Ultra Luxury Race car: McLaren
Cheap realistic car: Honda

You really should have GM on the poll. It's one of the largest -- if not the largest -- car companies in the world.
It also produces Cadillac, which is my preference.
Honda. Then VW, Audi and BMW.

at least put the major manufacturers on there.
Nissan
Acura
Infiniti
Hyundai
Cadillac
Lincoln

Kia
BMW
Mercedes Benze
Land Rover
Volkswagen
Audi
etc. etc.
I will have to say Nissan is my favorite

and since car companys are always big and part of one company you can put the name company down instead of brand, to just narrow it down abit.
such as
Damiler Chrysler (Mercedes, smart, dodge, jeep, chrysler, maybach) and Partner Mitisubusi
General Motors
Volkswagen AG (Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Lamborghini, Skoda, Bentley, Bugatti)
Psa-Peugeot-Citroen
Bmw Group ( BMW, Mini) I'm thinking theires more
thats all i can think at the moment i can't really thing of any other groups at the moment
