1/4 mile in the mid 15's with a 140hp 4 banger?  You are either lying or mistaken.  I've found multiple sources that state its more like high 16's.

Took it out for a fun drive with some friends.

Went to a local track and It got 16.1.

Not so bad if you ask me. smile.gif

I finally got a car. biggrin.gif

BMW 525i, E39. Alpine White.

Today is my first day driving it and I've gotten so many evil looks from other drivers, apparently that car doesn't go as unnoticed as I would have liked in this town. pinch.gif

Its an awesome car and the cornering ability is insane. DSC isn't as intrusive as I thought it would be, its actually pretty helpful.

I'll probably post some pics later.

I am truly amazed by the cornering ability. Yesterday I was at a big mall/shopping center and since more than half of the parking lot was empty as it was early in the morning, I decided to see what the car could do. I turned off traction control, set it in sport mode and opened the moonroof so I could hear the engine. tongue.gif
I then did a series of spiral turns at different speeds, quickly changing direction to see how the car's weight would be transfered. At no point in time I felt like I had lost control over the car. The tires made constant screeching noise and would sometimes break traction, but the car's handling remained very predictable and precise.

When I was done there was a small crowd watching. rofl.gif

Now I know from first hand experience why BMW is "The Ultimate Driving Machine". It makes driving FUN!.

sounds like FUN Huezo!
