When the Apple Hardware Discussion was created, it was because I wasn't sure where to post a question regarding my iPod so I suggested to Neobond to create the Apple Hardware Discussion forum. Since then however, AHD has changed to disallow iPod questions, just Mac questions.
Therefore I propose that the forum name be changed to Macintosh Hardware Discussion.

Macintosh is Apple's brand name for their computers. So I'd agree with the thread starter.

I'm aware of that. However this wasn't the case when the Apple Hardware Discussion forum was created. I've still got the PM conversation with Neobond about it. My suggestion is to help prevent people from posting about iPods in the forum, because the iPod is Apple Hardware.
The hardware section is also the place to discuss other Apple hardware offerings. Airport, isight, AE, etc etc. So no, changing it would be inappropriate.
The Airport, iSight, etc are all hardware for the Macintosh, whereas the iPod is not hardware specific.
