May I be the first to say that skin is great. I am using the extended at the moment. However as soon as the weekend comes it will be back to Scooby Do skin while my kids are here!

only thing i would change is the Font on the Media Library where it says "Play" " Enqueue" "Library" ...Font doesnt match the rest of the theme imo

I don't know anything about skinning WMP. Maybe sometime in the future I can see if it is possible to port this over.

The reason....

When I use classic winamp skins the play/stop/back/forward keys on my nice black Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard work a treat. When useing modern skins they stop working.

Anyone know how I can use modern skins and still have the full functionality of my keyboard?

I play games with winamp playing tunes in the background and therefore need my media keys.

Unfortunately I don't know about that sort of thing. You might try posting that question on the Winamp forums ( http://forums.winamp.com ) and see if there is a solution. If so, please post here.

Any chance for an update to support the global hotkeys?

I've made some definite progress -- the shade button now toggles between normal mode and extended mode (normal + song title and song progress). There is now also an equalizer!! I want to see if I can play with it a little more to make the fonts on the buttons in the bottom of the media library window match the rest of the skin.

Riffz, what global hotkeys are giving you problems? I just tried out a few of them (Play, Stop, Next, Previous, Open File).

does the back of the playlist have to be a solid color?

Unfortunately, it does. I've tried to do otherwise but there doesn't seem to be any other way to do it. The skinning engine for Winamp is kind of half-assed. For the main window and equalizer window, you can use alpha blending and it's a very easy to understand method of positioning and coding elements on the windows. For the media library, playlist, and video player windows you can not use alpha blending and the coding is extremely complex and convaluted. You have to use some proprietary wasabi coding method which makes it very hard to accomplish things.

It seems that changing the font on the bottom row of buttons on the media library window is not able to be modified. I've been discussing this problem with rpeterclark on the winamp forums and he agrees that there is no way to do it, and that it must be hard coded somwhere in the Winamp code. So if there aren't any other issues, I think I'll do some clean-up and then release the updated version of the skin. This time there is just one file. Both the normal and extended versions of the skin are in there. The default is the normal version, but there is a new button just to the right of the media player button that switches between normal and extended mode. Extended mode is identical to normal mode but with the addition of artist name/song name and a song progress bar. There is now also an equalizer included in the skin.

I think so. not 100% sure but i haven´t found a way to get anything else than one solid color.

ok, I ran out of one liners, simply a great skin, my fav by far.

Just realized today that on the matching samurize cd cover config, the shadow effect is cut off of the bottom corners of the glass background image. I have fixed this, and re-uploaded the config at my site.
