No I have not, because just as you said the last time I tried it screwed up my entire system as well.

Considering you still have to accept the installation of the IDE driver separately while doing the main install, I am still going to skip on it. Any driver that has a warning like that, will simply just not get installed on my comp, especially when it screwed things up so bad when I did try it.

The latest official drivers are working great on my PC at the moment.

I haven't had any problems with the Nforce drivers. But then I'm not upgrading them every month either... wink.gif I don't feel any need to get the latest ones.

Havent had any problems at all eith the IDE drivers.

I will even go to say, the system after installing the drivers seems to speed up and more smoother.

I had big troubles with the IDE drivers on my MOBO CD, so I haven't bothered with the new ones.

I think ill just skip the IDE drivers when i upgrade nforce drivers.

the ide driver works perfect for me

but i do have problem with the sound driver in latest set
even the separate one sucks
so i now use a driver direct from Realtek
and all my sound problems *in games* are gone lol

I installed the IDE driver but still says i'm using Microsoft's driver from 2001!!! or am I not looking at the right thing in Device Manager???

I never use the CD that comes with hardware, I just use latest drivers on my nForce 2 and it all work great. Everytime I have got a new piece of hardware the drivers tend to be out of date on the CD, it's good practise to get them from the internet first.

I managed to fix all my driver issues, save the modem one, but I'm definately making RC1 my main OS thumbs_up.gif
