Mac came first, because Windows was sued for copying Mac's GUI. I can't remember the years off hand, but trust me - Mac came a year or two before Windows.
The Mac was first to have a GUI, don't know who had the first PC though.

GUI
Graphical User Interface (using WIMP: "Windows, Icons, Mouse, Pull-Down Menus" and/or "Windows, Icons, Menus, Pointers"). Apple's Macintosh invented the GUI/WIMP in 1984, then in 1985 Microsoft released Windows with their version of a GUI/WIMP environment.

Nope - it was ripped/copied off Xerox at PARC. Xerox "Invented it". But Apple were the first to make it available to the general public as the Xerox machine was just an in-house project

However it wasn't completely ripped off. Xerox PARC had the main idea and the original Macintosh team really improved it and made it more usable. Having said that, Apple did get the great idea from Xerox PARC.

Apple didnt steal/rip the GUI idea off Xerox PARC, they brought it for a few million.
