That's awsome. I'm really glad the Mac-Minis are being released. I've been dying for a good workstation for Maya, and while the Windows model works flawlessly, I do enjoy the Aqua Theme that Mac OSX can provide, plus it will be a great tool for those interested in considering a switch from Windows/Linux to Macintosh. Apple's biggest flaw has always been their poor marketing schemes, so maybe they're finally starting to realize that not everyone has infinite checkbooks.

You do realise the Mac mini isn't ideal for 3D Animation & Rendering Applications such as Alias Maya. Then again, if it's just for personal work you've got no worries there - but if you require a faster machine then I'd recommend either maxing out the RAM on the Mac mini (3rd Party 1GB = £142 by Crucial), or getting a Power Mac G5.

Yup, I bought crucial RAM to max it out to a gig... smile.gif

I'm guessing they only have the basic 1.25 and 1.42 units then, ie they don't offer upgrade combinations cos I want to get Bluetooth and Airport with my Mac Mini sad.gif

Yes they do:
- Bluetooth: £35
- Airport Express: £49
- (Deal) Bluetooth & Airport Express: £69.99

Just go to the online Apple store and play with the upgrade options.

I know the online store does upgrade combos for ordering but I was referring to the AppleCentres offering the upgrade combos. Anyway, I'll give both centres a call tomorrow morning (assuming they're open) and I'll see what they say smile.gif
