There isn't anything wrong with animated sigs and avs. For those who like them and use them, I say rock on. I just find them to be distracting for the most part and ad-block them. It's simply a matter of personal choice on my part.

I changed my sig after I discovered people ad-block my animated sig.

And evilpig, I can't say your sig is stunning, but it's at least not distracting.
Bhav
i use flashblock, so all flash is blocked unless i allow it. great extension.

Just a reminder about rules on signature. Please read it.

animated .swf output file is better quality and lower filesize then an Animated .gif file so you should not worry about them

The people who take the real hit are the ones with slow processors.

Personally I don't like animated signatures. In my opinion some of them take too long to load, especially on a 56K line! I was considering placing one in my signature, but changed my mind when I considered how distracting it would be and how much of a strain it would be on 56K users such as myself! biggrin.gif

Ohhhhh I like!

Java applets should be enabled as signatures, too, so that I can be sure that the forum squad's hard at work chewing as much CPU power away here as possible!
