I worked on a theme based on floodgear some time ago but never got around finishing/building the Visual Style.
Here are two old "fake" screenshots of what I had got covered.
I'm finally going to retry (my first attempt gave a disappointing result)
and make this a real usable visual style (unless anyone here feels they're
very good at it in which case I suppose we could do it together).
So before I start, I'd like to know what you think of them so far, what could be
improved or what needs to be changed.

I like the idea for the taskbar but the titlebars are way too big IMHO.

id say everything looks awesome except the titlebars, those arent sitting too well with me =/

that floodgear site is nice, now if I can only understand what it is about...

Nice, but if the taskbar is really as small as it looks, then the titlebar needs to be about the same size.
This is promising, keep it up.

P.S. Don't use transparency in the mockup if it isn't going to be in the real theme.

While i like the concept..a lot.. as is the usual with mockups there are some things about this that are going to difficult when making the actual .msstyle, u may wanna go WB (SKS) for this type of project.

All right point taken about transparency issue, I guess I'll have to do without that. as for the taskbar I see too why it might cause a problem so I'll try and find an alternative. Thanks for the feedback.

Looks really awesome. Defintely go for the WB format for this so you can bring out it's full potential.

Nice style. Just the kinda style I like: DARK ... Very cool you should give it a go at development. Keep us posted.

but i sincerely hope you get real with it. lots of the things in that mockup can't be done (like the semi-transparent titlebars). keep it to what can be done right now.
