well, heres the deal...
i have an hp psc 1210 and want to print documents from ibook to my printer which is being hosted through my desktop.
on the installation cd, i got as far as i could (pretty much detecting the printer via usb, at which point i quit) but i know the drivers for the printer have been installed on the ibook.
anyways, i go to system preferences and set up the printer through windows printing... it finds the printer on my workgroup and such, and i choose the driver to install. the printer description comes up at "local system v printer" which i thought was odd.
i open up word and try to print out a page, which appears to get processed and sent to the printer on my desktop, but nothing happens.
does anyone have experience with printing over a windows network, specifically with hp printers?
