Owners of the Zen Micro, are you having issues with your "back" button? Mine only operates when the headphones are plugged in. Several others from the Creative forum are having the same problem.

If you are having a similar issue, what color is your Micro? Long shot, but right now it appears that only black users are affected... which frankly makes no sense at all.

It certainly works fine for me. The Zen Micro is an awesome player. I don't regret buying it (black).

Well I don't regret buying it either but that wasn't the point.

Looks like the color has nothing to do with it, same problem with a silver just posted on the Creative forum.

I noticed that too. Try to keep the charge between 40% and 80%, and see if that works.

I'm using the latest v1 firmware (v1.02.05) and I just tested my unit (black), but had no problems with the back button you mentioned OPaul.

Listenning to it now. Gotta love this player smile.gif

For those with no button problems what are the first 7 characters of your S/N? (Under the battery)
kak
This has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. Why would you be using your Zen Micro without headphones?

Anyways, no, I have no problems with my unit. M1PF108 are the first seven characters for mine. I also haven't noticed the infamous headphone jack problem, but I don't mess with mine to create it either. Firmware v 1.02.05 fixed the lack of battery life I was having, now it works great.

Mine is M1PF108.
OPaul
Hm, M1PF108, that's the same as mine. So it must just be luck of the draw. Guess I'll send it in to be replaced.

Mine seems to be ok, But I haven't really used it much recently.
OPaul
I just had mine replaced under warranty and so far I am not having the issue described here with the new one. The BACK button is working fine with or without headphones attached.

Just tried mine, works fine. And also my s/n is M1PF108.
