Spec shown on Virtual PC

Pentium II MMX 656 Processor
532MHz
512Mb Memory
16Mb Graphics
15GB HDD
Bluetooth
Wi-fi
DVD-Rom/CD-Drive



This is my problem the specs of the Virtual PC version are completly wrong and the virtual version is running like "crap". It actually is running like MMX Processor. Is there anything im doing wrong?

This is £200 worth of software on a £3000+ Mac Setup. HELP!!!!!!

What performance were you expecting out of X86 emulation? What is the processor showing up as in Windows? Mine only shows up as a 266MHz processor, and I'm running on a PowerBook. Windows XP Media Center Edition is bearable. It's, of course, not nearly as fast as the native hardware, but it's fine for checking something small.

Seems to me that VPC only gives 15gig to Windows OS. Not sure why. I'm running VPC with 98, and it too shows it as a P2-MMX.

i was expecting to do things like work n play games on windows version just on my G5 Mac but obviously i cant sad.gif

Nope. You can't even play games in Virtual PC for Windows.

Hate to say it but you was expecting a bit too much. Even the Windows based version of VPC is severely limited in power. =/ No real gaming support, and heavily taxing applications run fairly slow. In my opinion, it's mainly made for being used to test out different things if you don't have a spare PC to use...
