Wahey what can i say, i was abit disapointed in the time it took to get it delivered. I was expecting it to be 2-3 days as it says on the site, at least thats what i was expecting - later did i realise in the terms and conditions thats how long til its being shipped. In fact it was a little longer, it took 16 days to get delivered >< I live in England but for some reason it was shipped from the Netherlands.
So anyway, its here all nice nothing damaged. Keyboard needs abit of getting used too keep missing the buttons
Trying to figure out how to get system specs now. Make sure all my upgrades have been done ^_^

To get system specs go to the little apple in the upper right hand corner and go to system info (or something like that). Once you get there you can view more technical information.

how do you like your new ibook?
i'm in the same boat. i got mine 2 weeks ago and i love it =] i had to upgrade my ram from 256 to 768 so that i can run my programs (adobe creative suite) more efficiently.
the only complaint that i have is the slow bootup and hard drive response. maybe this is in regards to comparison to my pc desktop which seems to be a lot faster. but honestly, the complaint i have isn't that much of a big deal for me. i mostly work on my desktop, and i only use my ibook (for now) around the house if i want to move freely and still have internet access. and the ibook comes in handy in school, with me using the notebook inbetween classes to work on projects and what not.

The hard drive in an iBook is generally a 4200RPM drive, which is most likely much slower than the one in your desktop. One advantage the iBook has, however, is that you shouldn't need to boot it all the time. Just put it to sleep when you aren't using it by closing the lid. It can last in sleep mode for a week or more on a good battery.
meh...I love my 15inch Powerbook....never got the 12inch because I couldn't stand having a laptop so small...but..meh...enjoy..

Congrats! I would be p***ed off if I have to wait for 16 days to get my system. Any way, you got the system, have fun with it.

what i did is that i made a custom sleeve for my ibook. it cost me $3 at walmart to purchase half a yard of this material from their fabric section, that is REALLY REALLY soft. i dont know what its called, but just think of the feeling of cotton balls. it worked really well, and since it's white, it matches the ibook.
^...LMAO!...that's excellent...
