Hey guys ive just done a fresh install of win2k3sp1ent with dhcp/dns/ad and dhcp was reciving a ip from our router and the dhcp was sending clients ips but after i installed ISA2k4 the dhcp stoped recving and sending, ive made the policies allow all trafic if its 192.168.0.0-192.168.0.255 and the local host

Any ideas?

I must ask to clarify...are you are currently running 2 DHCP servers on your network?

Sounds like you are getting a server IP from the router and then having DHCP on the Windows box hand out addresses? This configuration will not work. Turn it off on the router and use the Windows box to issue out addresses. Give your Windows box a static IP address as well.

Remember that ISA is an application layer firewall, so did you set up the policies for layer 7 as well? Opening up traffic on just layer 3, IP, isnt gonna do it.

well how do i open up layer 7

well lan connection card is static ip and the wan is ment to get a ip from the router/modem but ti doesnt so i set a static for now but still no ips are being handed out

No server should be getting a DHCP address from a router, period. Servers should always have static addresses. No, it's not a must, but it sure is recommended. So whether it's LAN or WAN, set it up to use static addresses.

Have you setup DNS and DHCP correctly? (Have you ever set it up before in a similar environment?) Have you created a DHCP scope and activated it with the necessary settings?

Well as i said everything was working fine before ips were sent out by dhcp but dhcp just stopped handing them out when isa2k4 was installed, and yes ive looked over all dhcp settings to make sure its activated and all
