Ok, so my daughter says "dad my laptop power thingie is shooting sparks out the side" and thoughts of the house burning to the ground immediately flash through my mind. Turns out that the power cord for the yo yo AC adapter has a short in it, and just my luck, it's right next to the round base of the cord that plugs in to the adapter itself, so I doubt I can splice it. I've looked on the bay, and I can get a whole new adapter for $35.00 but if anyone knows where I can get just the power cord for the adapter it could save me some $ and would be much appreciated.

I'd go to Home Depot and see if you can find a two prong plug that will fit on the end of it. It wouldn't sit flat on the ground(you'd have to keep it the other way, but it would work.

the dell laptop cords work as well..
