ok so call me a n00b or whatever but I have just installed sp1 on windows server 2003 standard edition and my internet connection sharing has disappeared now 7 computers are without internet.

if anyone can offer me advice on how to fix this i would greatly appreaciate it otherwise i'm going to have to uninstall sp1 and see if that will fix it.

cheers

update: i uninstalled sp1 and everything is back to normal but i still want to know how i can get it working so i can use sp1

I knopw this won't answer your question directly, but dude you should be running a router not ICS. They don't cost almost nothing nowdays. Just plug the switch into the router and your off.

yeah i agree with you, which is what we were going to do in the first place but it just hasn't happened yet!

ok dude heres that options u have

RAAS(i think thats how u spell it) - set it up with a guide or some help - this one comes with windows 2k3 ent

ISA - buy it or try the download confused.gif takes no time to setup and has great fetures with its firewall

3rd party - go searching for some 3rd party nat software
timmmay
i think the ISA is a good option biggrin.gif i'm sure work will buy it for me wink.gif so i guess there's no hope getting the ics back hey?

Run the new Security Wizard in 2003.
timmmay
i did that, it showed ICS as an option but that is just to set up the security policy, it did not provide me with any options or settings to get it up and running

No security policy... no ICS.
