I have an iMac G5 with a wifi module.
My base stations is in another room and it's a Microsoft MN-700.
I also have a laptop with a Linksys pcmcia 802.11g card.

Transfering files from (or to) my iMac to my Xbox plugged into my base stations is pretty slow... 400-600kBps
If I try the same transfer from my laptop (which now sits next to my iMac for the tests), it goes twice as fast, sometimes higher... 1200-1800kBps

Since the Xbox/Base station part is the same for both tests, and I get transfer that are twice as fast on my laptop than on my iMac, I'm wondering what could be the problem with my iMac.

Any insights or ideas on what I could try ?
