looks good...i'll talk to you about any suggestions, etc on msn..not sure if i can do the alternating colours tho..
I'd love to have my window with no border. can it be done with any theme?

i don't see alternating colours in your screenshot?
i have found javascript that can do it..but only for one table, not for more than one..i might need to edit that javascript/find another script

how did you get ur clist+ to have a shadow? i love the whole thing.

maybe the msg area shouldnt be white? looks a bit plain. a gradient or a light texture maybe. also like ur tryiing alternating but ur working on it or its not possible.
Not bad, pretty smooth, but one suggestion - arrows to indicate incoming/outoging would be nice. They wouldn't have to be too big, just a small one would do, but they would be very helpful since the demarcation between incoming and outgoing messages isn't too clear.

there are incoming/outgoing arrows shown in the coloured bar for every message group. this along with differentiating colours for the bars would also reflect the incoming/outgoing status of the message group

Looking wonderful. I don't think I'd change a thing. I would like to have karma's clist though
