I just tried WindowFX, but I can't find an option for adding shadow to the taskbar.
Please don't tell me this is not possible.

It's very easy, as long as you are not running ancient version of it! Unless you are using it on Windows x64 then it only adds shadows to 32bit programs.

I'm using the latest version, 2.12 and there is no option for enabling the shadow on the taskbar.
It's pritty silly of Stardock releasing this program without the feature of adding a shadow to the taskbar. I don't want to use WindowFX and Y'z Shadow at the same time. They are both great apps, WindowFX has more options and Y'z uses less resources.
I hope they will add Taskbar shadow support.

its crossmarketing: not having a shadow for your taskbar makes you think of buying obbar, which will be shadowed.
I bet they (internally) had it shadowing the taskbar 2 years ago.
you mean the line under 'Shadows' where it says, and i quote, "Apply shadows to the taskbar" ?

I don't have that option, maybe you're talking about Y'z shadow, I mean WindowFX.
I downloaded WindowFX version 2.12 from the stardock website and in the program itself it says version 2.11?!?

Its definitely there, because I'm using it at the moment...

that's strange:
no, it's definitely windowsfx. i've never used anything in the y'z catalog.

so what can be the problem? I downloaded the latest version from the stardock website which should be 2.12 but after installing it says version 2.11?!?
I really don't know why I don't have that option.
Definetly your WindowFX version.
Want me to pm you with a helpfull link?

how about posting what you did to fix it so if someone has the same problem they can get it to work without creating a new thread.

you damn pirates why do you blame every problem you run into on the company you are ripping?
Stylez Ray.
Apr 11 2005, 05:44
It's not really pirating what he has done, so could you please stop the "warez" talk?
And I didn't blame Stardock, I just didn't have the correct version of WindowFX. Reble linked me to a newer version, so it's all fine.
edit:.....nvm....

You really think that's not blaming Stardock?

OK you got me there
But still I only said it's silly to not include the taskbar shadow, so I never said stardock is pure crap.
