Apple > System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Keyboard Shortcuts > Capture Screen to file

Whatever that keyboard shortcut is. I changed mine to cmd+F12 and i'm not sure what the default is...i just remember it kinda sucked so i changed

EDIT: the default is cmd+shift+3
yayo
cmd + shift + 3 will .pdf it
cmd + ctrl + shift + 3 will capture to memory

You can always customise the keyboard shortcuts.
PureLogic
cmd + shift + 4 Let's you select parts of the screen. If you hit the spacebar in that mode you will select stuff by screen, icon etc.

There was a whole explanation on the Apple support site but can't find it anymore. sad.gif

One of my favourite Tiger features is that screenshots now default to .png and not .pdf. No more silly exporting.

This is true, but I wish it was JPEG quality 10, iChat direct-connect image showing doesn't support PNG. rolleyes.gif

It does in Tiger (and I believe, with 10.3.8 or 10.3.9, in Panther as well). wink.gif

It does, yes, by file send, but not direct-image in the window.
