The drought is over. After going winless in his last 10 majors, Tiger Woods has won his fourth green jacket. After taking the lead early on Sunday, Woods made a birdie on the first playoff hole to defeat a resilient Chris DiMarco and win the 2005 Masters.

Yup... that was amazing. The ball just sat there for a few seconds right on the edge, and then some supernatural force pushed it in.

I only hope that this will be the beginning of his return to dominance.

This conversation kind of started already:
http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=305483&st=15But yeah that was a hell of a final day. I nearly fell out of my chair on his chip shot on the 16th. And on the 18th DiMarco's chip that nearly won it

o man. Great finish.
Tiger babyyyyyyyyy! I'm really happy for him.

That shot was phenomenal! Like a miracle or some witch nearby was willing it in by some spell or something. It just stood there at the edge of the hole... For a few seconds too...
At first I saw the chip I was like, nah... Bad shot, then it just rolled... Magic!

I think all the explosions when Bill Murray was trying to kill all the gophers is what knocked it in.
That will be one of the classic shots of all time, without it he would have lost by one and no playoff (assuming all others things stayed equal, of course).

Watching SportsCenter this morning they showed the shot from another angle. And the anchor says watch the two guys in the pink and yellow shirts. When that ball fell the two dudes went NUTS. It was pretty funny. They jumped up and caught each other in bear hugs. One guy nearly fell over. It was as if THEY had just sunk the shot. Trying to find the clip with that angle. It's rather amusing.
/edit
Yeah that's the one! Can't find it though. Also, something I didn't know. CBS doesn't won the rights to the video footage, it belongs exclusively to Augusta. And THEY were the ones to blame for the lack of coverage, not necessarily the networks. Yeah I keep watching the clip too. It's jsut surreal lol. Best golf-shot I've ever had the chance to witness LIVE, not just in video highlights.

haha, yeah, i remember seeing that one. funny as hell. i think thats the one where they show tiger fall down, and sorta put his head in his hands, and then jump up when he realizes it fell.

After having seen it up close, the "rough" is a joke! Man I play on greens shaggier than that!

It is so perfectly trimmed it looks fake.
It was great Masters, so glad DiMarco kept it tight and made it exciting. I had the privilege of watching it on a 10 foot theater screen - awesome!
