Does anyone know what the law says in Ontario about tinting your car windows? I thought I read once that 35% light must travel through the passenger and driver side windows, but there is no limits on the rest.

Can anyone verify this, or let me know what the actual law is?!

Thanks

basically, it wouldn't be wise to do the front windows sinc ein all likelihood the law will be changed soon to make it illegal to have the front windows tinted. You will need at least 70 percent light transmittance. There are several key groups proposing the law be changed to no tinting at all.

Most people like a 5% tint the best, as more than that and it becomes a royal pain to see anything in the dark

i just did mine last summer. I was told 35% on front and the rest you can do whatever you like. I did 35% on front and 20% on back. I wish I went darker sad.gif

5% is WAY too dark for the front, are u insane? i wont see at night. My friend tinted his windows dark (but not as dark as 5%) and he had to drive with his and passenger windows down to see anything at night

legally u cant do anythin less than 15% on the driver an front passenger. u can however do as dark as u want in the back windows. but in the front window u cant tint at all. although ive seen it.
