ok, i buried this announcement in another thread earlier, but after much fiddling, and a fairly long wait while i procrastrinated from switching back to explorer from litestep in order to check the startmenu and stuff, i've finally got the modified version of rhodium edge to a point where i can release a beta version
i'm still planning on fiddling with a few things (tabs, the programs menu, grouped tasks menus, groupboxes, little stuff), and the second colour scheme is barely started (only the window borders are done so far, but it's enough to give you an idea

)
anyway,
download, and a

awesome arhra!!!
testing it out right now
but i already found a bug. eh, i know that it's beta, but i thought it we're supposed to report? hehe, anyway:
in the orange scheme, the colors of the windows when maximized are messed up.
keep up the exellent work!

me thinks the orange variant isn't as complete as the blue one.
Fantastic work arhra but I am a bit disappointed. After seeing this
DevArt screenshot at least a month ago, I had waited patiently for it's release. Not that's there anything wrong with this version but I much prefered the one in the devart screenshot

Keep up the great work.

I have a little suggestion. For those of us that has long ass list of programs in "show all programs" (several panels worth of programs) the left border is ugly. I will post a screenshot in a sec.
SOOPAH: all that's done for the orange variant so far is the normal (non-maximised or minimised) window frames, and teh parts of the litestep theme mockup you can see in photoshop in the shot. i'm trying to get the blue more or less finished before i do any more of the orange.
[edit]kaosAD: i kinda preferred that version too, but it doesn't play nice with large fonts, so i changed it... i might release a couple of variants, including one like that...[/edit]

this is what I am talking about:
this is just wonderful work! its 10x better than the first... but do you have to use orange for the black?
:right: i just think thats the worst color ever.
arhra, that would be great! Thanks. I don't use large fonts, kind of kills the look of things at 1600x1200. Of course I would be more than glad to test it out for ya, lol.
ok, something's ****ed up, and i'm having problems replying... short story: changed sizingmargins, problem solved.

i'll try to get them done tomorrow, along with the other stuff that still needs fixing (programs menu, grouped tasks, and i'm still undecided on what to do with the tabs...)
Finally! I've been waiting for this update since i saw the early stages of the litestep theme. I love it. Great work.

Just spotted a bug, you may already know about, I'm not sure, but here it is just in case you didn't..
Notice the text on top of the blue frame, looks ugly.
Other than that, I haven't noticed anything else, again, great theme!

sorry to bother you with bugs

the orange theme doesn't change anything taskbar related (start menu, tray, toolbar colors are purple) anyways.. i use the blue and its really nice

Well, it's looking sweet, Rhodium edge is my favorite theme. The Mac OS X version was on the way to being complete but yesterday I deleted it by accident     cause I'm an idiot like that.
When this hits final, I'll start making the OS X version again cause you changed stuff like the tabs already anyway.
Good job, I love it.

How do we make the shell apply to other color schemes? It seems the default color scheme is orange and the shell applies with that. If I choose blue, I don't get a shell....any way to fix that?
Thanks
SOOPAH256

i love the window look, but can you please change the color of the blue scheme to a darker blue.
it looks too light. even a lighter blue may be better.
just the purplishness makes it really....blah.
thanks.
it feels strange having this update finally come out over such a long waited anticipation.

forgot I made that..
Looks good and a healthy change to a great theme!
Any chance on releasing the litestep theme soon?
AMAZING attention to detail here!!!
Shadows, highlights, borders...everything is clear and crisp -- extremely professional look. This certainly makes XP default look like it was designed by a house of newborn monkeys!!
thank you for giving my eyes some nice things to look at. your previous version, along with sophont, have been my longest-used themes so far.
A note to KoL (I know he is paying attn. to this thread too), try to include a little touch of color, maybe in an alternate version of some of your themes. You also have a similar detail, but the color is what makes me stick with arhra most of the time. Simple, elegant, slick...makes it stick!
Now that's what I'm talking about. Great work arhra. Snuck this in on me last night

Outstanding work, can't wait until the final release
