Full Version: Firefox Problems!

All of a sudden the javascript capabilities in my Firefox browser have stopped. Yes.. Enable Javascript has been checked.
It is really annoying since quite a few websites use javascript to open a new custom-sized window.

Also, Firefox doesn't always start-up the first time for me anymore.
Usually when I first double-click on the icon I have to go to task manager and end the task because the browser doesn't open!
The second time the browser window will load up, but will often be a blank window that doesn't load my homepage.. and will not load any page for that matter!
Soooo I close out of it and click on the icon a third time. This time it will work like it should.

I don't know what is wrong. One day it just started doing this.
Haven't changed any settings in awhile.

I would try deleting the XUL.mfl file in the profile, it stores UI data and may be corrupted. It will rebuild on relaunch.
Failing that, it may be time to bite the bullet and nuke your profile-save critical files like bookmarks.html, cookies.txt....etc and just delete the entire Firefox folder in AppData\Mozilla.
Relaunch and it will also rebuild.

Uninstall, delete the folder out of prog files, and reinstall fresh?

Also, I'd delete all your profile files, except for bookmarks.

Since I will be uninstalling firefox.. do you recommend going for the official build or an optimized build such as Moox or Stipe?
