I have downloaded a simple, xp style to start with. How to install it ??

a friend a while ago change my style of the pc by disabling a couple of things in xp so it looked like the classic version. will this effect anything.

can you tell me how to install a windows style I downloaded.

1st thing to install any of the themes here you will need to patch the XP.

Using this UXTheme Patcher

Then just click the theme you dl and you are done.

This question seems to pop up every now and then. Maybe a little guide should be made and attached to the sticky thread for the uctheme patcher....just a suggestion

bach, make sure that the "Themes" service has been started and you have UxTheme.dll patched. Search the Customizing Windows XP for topics that discuss this issue.
