Been looking to have a desktop that only lists text without the icons. If you search on goolge the opposite is popular but havent seen any mateial on this subject.
Has anybody succeded?
I've tried active desktop but to troublesome on long term.
I'm looking at a solution which is not a webpage but to only trim to the existing icon!!

Have you tried dropping the icon dimensions down to 0x0 in the desktop properties?

It's not possible with a registry trick because it applies to all Icons.
You can use D-Color XP; select Small Icons and give them a blank icon (included in the zip file). smile.gif

Hey finally a good post. I have the small icon on the left and text following.
it creates a column which is what I wanted. Even better than text alone.
Great, and yeah I did put alot of thought on the title, lol...
