Full Version: My new wheels

I won't go into details but after a lot of Acura dealership problems and their unfulfilled promises, after 2 months of waiting, I lost my patience and cancelled my '05 Acura TL.

I was really frustrated with the whole experience and finally said "**** it", I'm going for Audi. After an amazing and extremely positive experience at North Scottsdale Audi dealership in AZ (owned by United Auto Group), I finally ordered a new Oyster Grey/Black interior Audi A6 3.2L Quattro with DVD Nav, convenience package, sport package, xm radio, voice recognition and parktronic.

I have to say, from the first moment I sat in this car it was obvious, Audi for life. God this car is truly a perfection. I am so happy. 5 more days until I get the car and it seems like forever.

I still can't believe that I'll be driving this really soon:
If you can afford it, go for it, it's worth every penny.

For those who are interested this is the deal I got:
$5k down (to lower the payments even more) 36months/15k miles = $640 a month with tax included.

I agree. European Cars > *.

That Audi is very nice.

Fabulous. The deal you got also seems to be fair. Here, they've been gouging customers like crazy, but people will pay.

Just so you know you have one jealous little **** up here in the northeast sad.gif Currently driving a Jetta and thats about as close to an Audi I'll get tongue.gif Really eyeing the A4 quattro (ya know, because of the snow, ya ya, the snow) but doubt that would become a reality with the way things are going.

Buy yah that is one sick looking A6. THey really improved on the body style. Should have gone for the RS6 instead hehehehehe.

Congrats and if you ever plan on a drive down to Cape Cod let me know wink.gif

hey come over to brooklyn ny
we'lll take a ride
Shane Pitman
No more German cars for me. Yeah sure, they drive great, handle superbly, and the ride is as smooth as silk, but the expense of upkeep and repairs just isn't worth it. If you used the maintenance schedule for cars like Mercedes, BMW, etc. on any other car, they'd last just as long. Nope, we sold our 7 series bimmer earlier this year and although I must admit that it was the best driving, best handling, most comfortable car we've had (and we've had many), I don't miss forking out the money to maintain it and fix it when something broke.
turbomonkeycock
Sweet car, my dad has an Audi, all be it smaller and older, and it's really nice to drive and has a great finish. Albeit, not a patch on your A6. Must be pretty quick!

Happy cruising
qdave
man! this is trully nice. you are one lucky basterd biggrin.gif

640 a month for a lease is just too much... but.. obviously you have the $$ so good luck with the beautiful car... btw.. what was the cost if you financed the car?

German cars are the most unreliable cars. I agree the germans make a great car, but if it needs to be in the shop all the time then whats the point. I am sticking with japanese.
Razorwing
cool.
BroChaos
yeah i hate you tongue.gif

the audi a6, acura tl, and infinity g35 are my 3 favorite cars right now. i wish i had to choose between the 3.
Zip
sweet thumbs_up.gif, ive got the old shape. eyeing a new one next year. the 3.0 diesel quattro is sweet as, i test drove one the other month.
randy_tho
I don't think I could lease a car for that kind of money. It's like OK I'll buy it but I'll give it back to you in a few months.

You could buy a nice car and have a pmt less than that I think. But then again I don't know what that thing retails for. Probably too much. smile.gif

It's looks pretty cool though. Post real pics when you get it.

Yeah I would never buy an american car, but consumer report has most of the american cars being more reliable then the german ones.

All cars ( at least most of todays) are only as good as you take care of them.
Kerm
I... am... so... jealous.
Quickstrike
Awesome car!! You have definitely made a wise choice going w/ the Audi. Can't see how you would ever be disappointed.

The performance and luxury you get from German cars is absolutely worth it.
Especially the Audi.. it has always been class-leading in interior and exterior design.

I hope to someday have a car like that. yes.gif
BLEHINATOR!
if you even so much as scratch that car i will hunt you down and hurt you!!! Audi's are this shiznit, got an older model (read: ancient 93 model) audi 80 2.3e and its stupidly fun to drive, you can throw that bitch around and it will take it, errrr not that i would do that, that would be irrisponsible... tongue.gif

audi tt... one day... one damn fine day that will be...
Darkluminaz34
Great looking car glad you picked that over the soulless Acura appliance... I have always loved Audi's. They have best interiors of any car brand period, but I would have probably picked up a CTS-V or a loaded GTO. The GTO has a faster 0-60 time than pretty much every Japanese car sold in the states and can be had for under 30.. Not bad at all! Congrats on the car and hope you enjoy it and enjoy watching the people stare at you driving by smile.gif
cesardrgn
All i can say about that car is. That car is just a work of Art... thumbs_up.gif yes.gif

No kidding. I drive an 87 Accord LX that is beat to hell and back, and I have less money in parts for it than the neighbors do for their late 90s Audi. If I buy an expensive luxury car, it shouldn't need quarterly checkups. I'll stick with the Japanese.

Enjoy your car though, I hope you have great luck with it. No doubt, it is a beautiful car.

No kids huh? I used to be able to afford that before my first child. Say no to kids and baby's mamas if you want money in the bank.

Hope you love it, I loved my old Caddy Catera in '99. It is good to be young.

threetonesun
Mercs/BMWs/and VWs are unreliable. Audi is actually rated pretty highly. They're classy rides, nice choice!
lylesback2
wow.. those really are nice wheels. what size are those?

kidding... sweet ride biggrin.gif

UPDATE:

I just got informed by the dealership that unfortunately they couldn't locate Grey with black interior, however I'm getting Black on Black. How nice is that. And I'm actually getting it right on my birthday. How cool is that. This car and I were simply meant to be together smile.gif

Yeah no kids, that's why I'm actually able to afford it. At least for another 3 years. Then I guess I'll get married, have kids and whatever goes with that. And since I'm 29 next week, it's a real birthday present to myself from myself smile.gif

Happy Birthday and Congrats. You must be really excited. I am on a waiting list for a new car too, but I got at least an year before I receive it.

I'm not sure I'd go that far. Japanese manufacturers have a rich heritage in motorsports.

I know, I was just mocking djsaad1 when he said german cars are the most unreliable smile.gif

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. Making blanket statements and generalizations like that IMO are opinions. There's a reason why older Jetta Turbo diesel's are popular for the 'just turned teen' crowd.' It's because they are reliable and their parts (if they need them) are in abundance therfore, cheap.

But then again, my LS400 went for 12 years, 200,000 miles without a problem, while my X5 is less then a year old and it's already been in the shop for about a month total. smile.gif

hahah i think you're the fuicking moron

Cube, Mitubishi has major reliability problems...Most people that have owned one know the problems its had and no service from the dealerships
nwmma
I read on consumer reports that current model american cars are more reliable than current model european cars; Plus the lease should cover all maintenance. But anyways, audi's are awesome rides. The best rides (sedans) I have driven would be the a8's and the s-class mercedes. Both are very smooth and very powerful. One time I was doing like 110 in the mercedes and it seemed like 60, once I saw the speedometer I had to slow it down a bit.
