well, wm2005 will be out in a few months (q3), so if you're going to buy that high end of a pda, I'd personally wait (since it is very likely that neither dell or hp will offer os upgrades for current owners).

As far as which brand, I own an ipaq and i love it, but..... Dell's are much cheaper for the same if not more features and they seem to garner good reviews.

Basically, goto aximsite.com and ipaqhq.com read some reviews/bugs/annoyances, do some in person research (like go into comp usa and play wth the hp's) and then make a decision. Lke any other purchase, it's a subjectve decison and what I find important may not be important to you.

wait till june/july

wm2005 comes out

If dell launches new ppcs...since it most likely wont offer upgrades, then the pocket pcs will reach eol and be sold for cheap. Thats an if though

I still recommend waiting till june regardless.

Get a Dell ppc. They rock. Also, Dell is pretty good in releasing firmware updates so you *probably* get a free Winmobile 2005 update for free. Dont get on me if you dont. I have a axim x30 too. (bought last year)

no not for free. Its free if you have bought it within 30 days of the release of the wm2005 rom. If you didn't, it will be $30 assuming they even will put it out (I HOPE THEY DO!!!)
