Every time i tryed to open any program i have downloaded it get this error?
Tryed several themes that say they work on Ubuntu.
Also tryed amsn. Both gave me this error,

Is there a specail way to run/install things on linux?

Heh i think that for windows, not for linux, because its *.exe, linux never have like these eh?

True... lol it said it was for linux, Well What about on amsn?

I'm not sure what files to use to install

atp-get install amsn

Either that, or download the tar.gz package from the amsn website, extract it and run the amsn script (no need to install).

^^^ Agreed.

The best way to install apps in Linux is to use your built-in package manager. Let it go out and find what is needed and install it for you. When you update your system, then these apps you add will be updated to latest versions, too. thumbs_up.gif

And, if you want a nice GUI front-end to apt-get, try synaptic. It may be already on your Ubuntu install. (if not, just apt-get it)
