Hi guys,

I have just opened up my About Mac window, and the usual lines appear, such as Processor and Memory. I also have an additional "startup disk: Macintosh HD" line just underneath Memory.

Does anybody know how to remove this line? I've never seen it before. I have changed my startup disk to the default Macintosh HD, my only HD in my PowerBook. There are no other volumes besides "network share/disk" in startup disks but I haven't selected it.

I have restarted a few times just to see if it will disappear, but it does not. Thanks for any help. wink.gif

It's new in Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger. It only appears if you have more than one partition/hard drive, even if there aren't any other system installed.

But is it really that bad? It's not like you have to look at the About This Mac window all the time.

It's strange because I am using my PowerBook which has one single internal drive. I don't have any partitions except the main Macintosh HD and no other drives mounted or selected as a Startup Disk. Weird!

In that case I don't know either. Let's just call it a bug and pray 10.4.1 arrives soon. wink.gif tongue.gif
