I love BBEdit, but don't like paying for stuff unless necessary. Is there anything out there similar in features/functionality to BBEdit for a novice web dev?

I am a huge fan of SKEdit and I own BBEdit. I have yet to find something that compares in functionality. 3.5 is a little lacking, but if you purchase it, you can participate in the beta test, and 3.6 betas are awesome! I have been using them full time at work and loving it.
