If your board is security sensitive, and the members would like to have IP logging completely removed. How can one accomplish this on the bulletin board side of things? we realize that this would remove some important IP search functionality, but thats ok.
I was going to just dump the IP fields from the post table/members table/ and the message table . Im just wondering what type of problems and errors one could expect.
There may be better ways to do this that I have considered, such as including a query that runs each time a member posts, a query that would reset all of their IPs to something random.

Welcome to Neowin,
You do know that only administrators, global moderators and moderators can view ip addresses right? and administrators ip address are kept private and not viewable by global moderators or moderators too?
I've never seen any modification on how to do this, nor would I personally want to, I mean someone would eventually need to be banned from your forum, I'd imagine, just a guess; maybe not, that you would like to IP ban as well?
Well if you do own a copy of 2.0, and a license, you could ask how to do this over at the IPB forums in the support and they could probably help you out more there.
