1. Download this (right click save target as) and call it uhb.js

2. click on the highligh button found on this page and add the button to one of your toolbars

3. open opera's preferences (CTRL + F12) and click on advanced

4. click on content then click javascript options

5. create a folder in your opera profile directory called user js(if you dont know where your profile dircetory is click on help|about opera for the path)

6. in the my javascripts box at the bottom browse to the user js folder you made

7. move the uhb.js file into the user js folder

Works here.

Not bad, though it seems to bring Opera to a crawl when enabled.

Make sure you place the Highlight Button 1) on the same toolbar as the search field and 2) to the right of the search field.

Again: 1) on the same toolbar and,
2) to the right of the search bar ....

That is where the Highlight Button must be. (of course, the personal bar is the only toolbar this will not work on according to the instructions)

When does it crawl? Just curious because I am not noticing any remarkable change with it enabled here.
alex.
i'll admit I havn't used it much but I havn't noticed any difference in speed either. blink.gif

The same "lag" that all javascript gives in certain conditions. Most noticeable whilst having the middle button clicked and moving the mouse up/down to pan.

EDIT :

anyone know JS pls help (the author is unavailable).

google search keywordS quoted by " " for exact match,

pls modify the JS above to ignore the " marks.

e.g. open pages from google searching "two words"
the JS cannot hilight two and words,
cus it looks for "two and words"
