I downloaded the pack from Apache-User... I had a few comments.

The start button font looks a little off.

I don't think the fake text-box on the start menu should be there. Since it doesn't work it just looks out of place.

I personally like the user icon visible on the start menu, but it still looks ok.

Other than that, the msstyle is very nice. I'm starting to wonder what WindowsX is going to look like. Good job on the pack Apache.

People do the same thing with the spotlight in the Tiger theme. Just there for realism I guess.

Looks like a good port, but I personally don't like the LH theme. Good work though.

I have only gry shellstyle in this pack. The Blue style is wrong...

But the grey is beautiful!

nope just cheked the shellstyles i included in the zip and the blue one is in folder shell/normalcolor the grey one in shell/aero2

The Common Tasks should be at the top rather than the bottom. Also, the Aero Blue/Grey Concept For the toolbar, the added menu doesn't seem to work

jap i know that the menu dosent work.. yust som eyecandy to make it look like the real deal... seems ther is noway to get it working with styler seems to be limited in functions cant realy find somthing to help me on that part all the original styler theme ini's have just those limited optins for buttons... so if anybody gets a hand on more optins to config within styler themes let me know and i'll give it a shot

copy kernel1.exe to yout system32 folder...

edit boot.ini
just add the following line

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Longhorn" /fastdetect /KERNEL=kernel1.exe

just check if your bootline looks like this and maybe edit partition

oh and add a boot timeout so you can switch kernel if something goes wrong

timeout=5 << numbers in secs so that would be 5 secs timeout to switch kernel

But one question, what is that white "Box" in the Startmenu? Is it a bug?

...Oh, one more

Styler runs and i can change the Styles (VS) but the Toolbars dosnt can change. When i klick or double klick at the Toolbar then the screen resets fix, but nothing happens.

Please give me a Tip.

no its a quicklaunch basicly you type the first few letters of the name of a program in your startmenu and it shows items with matching names. hit enter and it runs the first one so solit > enter etc.

the white box resamples the search / quicklaunch bar in LH

Thanks for infos,

The Styler Prob i found, it was a Option in IE that i disabled (third party Software dis/enabled), now it runs perfectly. With the disabled Option i can not see any thing when i klick the right Mousebutton in the Toolbar.

the styler program won't work for me it installs but ,.. then i get the "encontered error" error when i open the program...... i have tried reinstallin it ... can some on help?

Apache-User, you may or may not have seen the post regarding Windows Xs Aero Style Longhorn VS, I would say the same here, I would never be able to do these VSs, therefore I can only thank you guys for your efforts, thanks from an oldie who loves to mod his desk top, I can remember the Queens Coronation

That theme looks really cool. Is anyone willing to port that theme to xp? without the transparency and any other impossibilities?
