Is this a standard feature availble with IPB paid version or is this a hack/script or something which has been customised for this forum?
I'm looking at buying a copy of IPB and it would be great if this was a standard feature when purchased. Thanks.

Wrong.
The subscription manager [which is what Neowin is using] comes with your download of IPB. It is not a 3rd party download.
The Subs Manager is for 2.* only, it isn't for 1.3.
if your refering to the Invision Subscription Manager.. the "Paid Subscription" links in the My Controls...
then it WAS available for 1.3... and used to be a paid product... now its no longer paid and its free for users from 2.0 and up
