Here's an opera task panel with calendar. here's the same thing but without the calendar.

Just download either of the above and put them in a folder in your opera profile folder, open opera and do file|open and browse to the folder you put the task panel in. Open taskpane.html and save it as a bookmark, remember to check the show in panel box at the bottom.
