I finnaly got my iPod restored but i've got a problem. I went to format it and update it with the latest firmwire but its saying that the iPod needs to be rebooted with the external power source. This is a problem for me because its broke! what should I do?

Find a friend... visit your local Apple Store, connect via FW to a computer, get the charger serviced (if in warranty http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod), buy a new charger....
