I just got the Samsung 990DF I ordered in order to hook up to my iBook, and use it 1600x1200. I installed Screen spannig doctor, the new one for Tiger, and it worked fine for about 15 minutes. I decided to start Quicktime up to view one of the HD trailers, at which point the monitor flashed off, the green power light still on, it still thinking it has signal coming to it. I've been unable to get it to come back on, using every combination of turning off, unplugging from iBook, and turning back on imaginable. I've tried to remove the Screen spanning software, but it didn't help, so I'm thinking of re-installing it.

Could a mod delete this? I relized a few minutes ago its defective, so I get to send it back.

Screen spanning doctor works 1600x1200?!?!
An Apple Genius told me the max it could do is 1280x1024, from his experience, and his iBook...

That must've been his monitor, as mine actually did the 990DF's max res of 1920x1440, but it was a bit on the small side, so I bumped it down to 16x12 and its smoother refresh rate.
